Hello there, world!
I’m MC, a lover of all things bookish, a Disney freak, and the proud owner of the best cat in the universe. I grew up in the Age of Harry Potter, and I will forever be rereading the series through the eyes of a child. Who wants to grow up, anyway? I have a large TBR pile, and I will never participate in any kind of endeavors to reduce the number of books I have to read. I love being surrounded by books, both read and unread. The books I’ve already read are like old friends that have kept me company through the years. And my TBR pile opens the door to endless possibilities. Whenever I want, I can turn to my shelf and pick out a new adventure to go on, a new world to travel to, new friends who may end up changing my whole life.
My favorite genres to read are Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Dystopian and Historical Fiction. I prefer to use my books as an escape from the real world, so typically anything that takes place in another realm is right up my alley. I read both Young Adult and Adult novels, and I do enjoy a Contemporary book from time to time, although romance isn’t typically my thing.
I’m really excited to share my feelings about the books I’m reading and other bookish thoughts with you. I love being able to recommend a book to someone that may become their new favorite book. And I am always looking for new books to try out and add to my never-ending TBR pile.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you enjoy my little slice of the internet!
When you turn down an invitation to go out because you just really want to find out how your book ends…..
When it’s suddenly four in the morning and you know you have to get up early, but you only have 50 pages left and you can’t possibly put your book down now…..
When the solution to your book buying problem is to buy more bookshelves – not to stop buying books…..
When you realize you are low on cash because of the book buying spree you went on last weekend – but it was so totally worth it (and you will probably do it again next month)…..
When you start wishing that fictional worlds and characters would jump off the page and come to life – because sometimes they seem so much more interesting than the reality you are living in…..
Just do what I do…..
…..blame it on the books.
