Hello there, everyone! I’m here with my very first Bloggiesta mini challenge! If you have somehow managed to miss me talking about Bloggiesta, you should check out bloggiesta.com and get involved!

Today I want to challenge all of you to cross-post your reviews!

A lot of us cross-post our reviews just to Goodreads or Amazon, and we pretty much stop there. But there are so many other websites you should use! Posting your reviews all over the Internet helps authors more than you know. We are all deeply absorbed in the book world, so it is easy for us to discover new books and authors. But most people only have online reviews to consider before they pick up a book. Cross-posting reviews gets all those authors we love so dearly the exposure they deserve – so I’m here to show you how to help!

I cross-post every review I write to seven different websites, plus my blog. Here they are:

**You can also post reviews on iBooks, but I can’t provide a link to that.

Some books by independent authors may not be available on all of these sites, but posting your reviews wherever you can is a HUGE help to authors. Trust me, they absolutely adore reviews!

So, I challenge you to cross-post your reviews! Pick a few of these websites (or all!) and get posting! Let me know how it goes! Good luck!

  1. Well, I’ll definitely be cross-posting all my reviews in the future!! I do have a question though, do you cross-post your reviews on the same day that you post your review on your blog or do you wait a couple days/weeks? Because people might not check out your blog if they’ve already seen the review on Goodreads if you know what I mean? 🙂

I totally get that! My blog is set to automatically send my review to Goodreads when the review is posted. But I often only have the highlights of my review on Goodreads, with a link to the full review on my blog. I do the rest of my cross-posting at a later point in time when I have a few spare minutes.

    • That is a good idea. My posts automatically go to Goodreads when they go live on my blog. But I always forget to cross-post to retailers unless it’s for a blog tour or something like that. I’m definitely going to start setting a reminder on my phone.

  2. I NEVER cross-post any of my reviews so this is the mini-challenge that I have signed on for. I’ve heard that the best way to cross-post is to only provide a snippet of the review on other sites and link back to your site. To MC and Jackie’s point, gotta give people a reason to come to your site.
