Late Night...

Happy Friday everyone!

I’m super glad it’s the weekend. It has been a long week at work and my reading life has been quite an adventure this week as well.

I actually managed to finish three books this week, which is awesome! But I feel very ‘meh’ about my reading lately. I haven’t read a really fantastic book in a long time, and I am dying to find a five star book! I feel like everything has been letting me down lately, and now I don’t trust any books to wow me anymore. Even when I reach for something that everyone recommends, I’m worried that it will just let me down.

Maybe (hopefully) a bit of rest and relaxation this weekend can help cure what ails me. I am hoping to finish reading Genius: The Game by Leopoldo Gout by tomorrow. I am enjoying this one and it’s a quick read, so maybe it can jumpstart my reading again. I’m also listening to the audiobook of The Young Elites by Marie Lu and it’s keeping me interested so far. (Although I think I zoned out for about 20 minutes, so I’m a little confused at the moment….this is exactly why I have trouble with audiobooks.)

It is finally starting to feel like summer here in CT, so I’m planning on spending as much time outside as I can this weekend! What will you be reading???
