Woohoo! Bloggiesta is back! I participated in my first Bloggiesta back in September, when I had only been blogging for a few months – and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my blog. I met some wonderful people (particularly the amazing Emily of Emily Reads Everything, who was one of my first blogger friends and is someone you all need to know) and I made huge strides for my blog in general.
This mini Bloggiesta is only occurring for the weekend, on January 16th and 17th, with a bonus day on Monday the 18th if you want to keep working! The main goal of this event is to connect bloggers and encourage them to make progress on their to-do lists. Check out the website for more information and to sign up!
I have been anxiously awaiting this Bloggiesta and I have been compiling quite a hefty to-do list in preparation. I need to write a whole bunch of reviews, cross-post a bunch of old reviews, do some major organizing of my inbox, and back up my blog. However, all of my plans have completely gone out the window. If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen me tweeting a lot about the status of my site in the past week. Unfortunately, I have been having major problems with my hosting service lately, and it has been causing me giant amounts of stress. If you have tried viewing my blog lately and haven’t been able to, this is why (and I’m so sorry).
Luckily, I just found a new service and I am so excited and relieved that soon everything will be ok. So that means that I only have one priority for Bloggiesta:
- prepare for migration!
I am basically taking this process day by day, so I don’t really know what I will be doing this weekend. I will be doing whatever I can do to make this transition as seamless as possible and I will get as much work done as I can. I’m so annoyed that I have so much other stuff to do for my blog and I am falling even farther behind, but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Because I am not sure how time consuming this project will be, I have a couple other things in mind that I would also like to do. These tasks might end up getting missed, however:
- write 3 posts
- comment on some blogs! (I am part of Nori at ReadWriteLove28’s Commenting 365 Challenge, and I am horribly behind)
And of course, there is one more thing I will definitely be dropping everything to do this weekend:
- participate in the Bloggiesta Twitter chat on Sunday 1/17 at 2pm EST!!!
I HIGHLY recommend that you participate in this Twitter chat if you are available this weekend. I made so many wonderful friends last time, and I would love to talk to you!
Alrighty, so my to-do list is pretty much up in the air, but I know I will be doing SOMETHING productive for my blog this weekend. We will just have to see how everything progresses. Check back in a few days to see how much I managed to accomplish!
If you are new to blogging, or if this is your first Bloggiesta, please say hi! I would love to meet you! Good luck with your to-do lists!
Ok, enough with the talking….it’s time for this Bloggiesta to….

When it’s time for a blog overhaul…..
…..blame it on the books.
